Clematis by Fright

Went with my home school group to Clematis by Fright a couple of nights ago. It was a lot of fun. There was a live band, Hollywood Love Scene, costume contests and a library right there. Of course, being the people that we are, one of our first stops was the library. The children's section to be precise. Almost everyone had fun coloring pictures of a pig looking bat(except for me, as I had a really poofy dress on and couldn't really sit down in the tiny seats, and the only guy of the group, who was probably trying to keep his dignity). Surprisingly, we weren't kicked out. After that, we watched the rest of the kid's costume contest, and the adult's too. After that, some of our group ended up taking pictures with the band members. During this time one of my friends thought they'd lost me, and(as she later told me) almost ended up crying. However, I was safely on the other side of the photographers, with a guy from our home school group. After the photo shoot we were reunited(This is starting to get really corny) and talked to the lead singer of the band. Shortly after that we had to leave. So, that's all folks.

Fright Night

So I've finally gotten the chance to write again. First of all, I went to Fright Night. Completely awesome place, that is, if you're into scary things. My parents brought one of my friends, my sister and me, and we all had a blast. Well, I did, anyways. The first thing we did upon arriving is see the Freak Show. Now, I love scary things, and freaks are cool too, but I wasn't impressed. Inside the tent, it was loud and hot(thanks to the many people pressing in around you), and there wasn't very many good acts. I loved the fire eater, and sword swallower was pretty good too, but everything else was pretty bad. After that, we visited the three haunted houses, The Smiths, Country Bill's Meat Market and Dead End. (I was kinda sad they didn't have Scourge this year) Smiths is a fun place, but not too scary, while Country Bill's has more in the way of blood and guts. However, Dead End, just like last year, takes the prize. There are always people jumping out at you, and the decorations there are superb. Just beware of the really dark room, even I almost jumped out of my skin at that point. I was first into the haunted house, along with my friend I'll call Carrie. Personally, front is the best, because that's who everyone jumps out at. However, in our case, we not only had that, but often times a group of teenage girls clinging to our backs as they screamed at everything that moved and a lot that didn't. Of course, my dad didn't help the matter and had fun making scary noises, sounds and voices to freak them out. At one point, one of the girls even said "I think I've peed my pants." Although that wasn't the most fun, I still thought most of it was really funny. (I'm mean that way) And next year, I'll definitely be there, just like this time and last year.

First Blog

So I finally set up a blog, and I'm sitting writing and eating Canadian chocolate Smarties. Yum. I'm hoping to learn more about this blog craze and keep up with recent events. I'll write more when something of interest happens.
